The following are comments left about WPI from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. "Higgins House" remember it well, as a kid in the 1950's would climb the fence at WPI to get on the property. Had an old Kodak box camera and took pictures of the garden behind the mansion. Remember it took a week or more to have the pictures developed. Pictures turned out fine but got lost in 40 years of moving. Now sure wishing I had them old black & whites (about 4 inch square).
WPI- Harrington auditorium -with my S.A.T.'s at least they let me in to attend concerts- and saw the Grateful dead- maybe 1970- I have my grey cardboard ticket here someplace- $2.50 admission and gerry had on his purple/rose tie-dyed tee shirt so it was a special night- an acoustic set- the New riders- with Jerry on pedal steel- they did Cold Jordan- mickey hart was right in front of us- took quite a few pics- with a flash-cube 126 camera- came out Okay- after maybe an hour=long break- they closed with a loud electric set- that completely distorted my friends cassette recorder- tape saturation- I remember alot- cuz no drugs- and I really dug the band- I think we hit the parking lot at 2:30 a.m.- after approx 6 hours- no cop issues- just dead heads- lusting for more tunes- talk about getting your money's Worth-sometimes- It's great- NOT TO BE HIGH- just soak up the music- we did come- and heard UNCLE JOHN'S BAND- Magic night
