The following are comments left about Mechanics Hall from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. One fine place with it's, history, sounds, and a place for wrestlers in the 1960's. Trade shows in the 1860's (150 years back). If you haven't visited please visit "Mechanics Hall".
I'm glad that they finally restored this fine building to it's original glory. I recall going here during the 60's and 70's with my grandfather to see wrestling and roller derby. If I remember correctly, didn't they also offer roller skating there for a while?
I met my husband in mechanics Hall when I was a teenager rollerskating we been married for 43 years now
YEAH- I remember roller skating too- fell so hard it was my first/last time- good concert hall though- remember the brown bag concerts- lotsa folks sipping from paper bags- but hey- it was free !!!
