Thomas A. Pellett in business in Worcester under his own name. In 1896 the firm was associated with John H. Pickford in building the Standish Hotel. Circa 1916, Standish Hotel at 767 Main street, with apartment buildings 769, 771 Main street.

In September 1909 Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung stayed at the Standish for one night while they were guest lecturers at Clark. The following day, G Stanley Hall, Clark's President, invited them to stay at his home on Downing Street for the remainder of their visit.

My father worked there as a night desk clerk on Friday or Sat. nights in the late 40's and early 50's. He used to walk me up there with him, when he would collect his pay.
