The following are comments left about Corner Lunch from site visitors such as yourself. They are not spell checked or reviewed for accuracy. I was a waitress at the cornor lunch. Those were crazy times. It was the coolest place for breakfast.
Corner Lunch DeRaffle/Musi 133 Lamartine Street, Worcester, MA http://www.thesebells.com/dinersCornerLunch.html The Corner Lunch has a unique look to it. It's decked out in wild pastel colors both inside and out. Only diner in New England renovated by two different companies, and how it had originally lived in Babylon, NY, only to make it to Worcester in 1968. http://www.agilitynut.com/diners/3b.html The Corner Lunch is a DeRaffelle built in the mid-1950s. In 1967, it was updated by Musi who lopped off about one third of the diner and put it in back for a kitchen. This diner is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is just a block away from the Miss Worcester Diner. The Corner Lunch was closed for renovation and reopened in September 2002. http://www.btwmagazine.com/archive/arch_200203.html March 2002: Worcester diner news. Also, the Corner Lunch should have reopened yesterday. The DeRaffele/Musi reno suffered through a series of owners in the past few years after the leaving of Paul Pourier. Rumor has it that Ralph Moberly, owner of Ralph's Chadwick Square has resumed operations in the city's largest diner.
The "Corner diner" is in a part of Worcester. Where people respected people and years back the people didn't speak "good english". The diner is in a place for morning food, and a nice place to talk, and find a breakfast talk conversation.
When i was a kid, my mom, brothers and i would meet my dad every wednesday for dinner at Corner Lunch, since my dad worked across the street at Boston Beef Co. It was always great!
I see nothing about the first corner lunch when it was in the celler of a 3 decker at the same adress?
